Egg Hunt
We made a fast trip to Miles last weekend and took Ellie to the Ballinger Easter egg hunt. It was so funny to watch...her age group was 1 to 3 yr. olds all roped off in one section and when the rope went down they just stood there, like "what now?" Then it was on! Ellie was more interested in running wild in the mayhem than actually picking up eggs, thankfully grandma "Gray" was there to help. Here are a few pics of the starting line, hunting, and finally enjoying the benefits of her hard work...

Since the egg hunt is held in the city park, we stayed and played afterwards on the same playground equipment that Matt and I played on as kids...it's all still there - swings, slides, see-saws, and spring horses. We used to beg Mom to take us to Ballinger during the summer when we were little so we could play in the park and swim. Seeing Ellie play on the same slides brings back good memories!

Finally, a trip to Miles is not complete until we've gone to feed grandpa Daddo's longhorns (aka "the boys")...from left to right: Koda, Bandit, and Sparky...Ellie loves mooing at them and feeding them cubes.
