Tricycles, guitars, and snow...

All the Christmas festivities were a BIG deal this year now that Ellie is three years old and much more aware of all the excitement. Even now, a week later, she still says "Let's go to sleep so Santa can come down our chimney"...every night...it might be a long year!

We definitely remembered the reason for Christmas amongst all the chaos and enjoyed a lot of time with family. It was sooo nice having two weeks home with Ellie, and Curt got to take some time to be home, too. We spent Christmas Eve in Mt. Home and had a big time. Then we came home and got ready for Santa's arrival. We ran out of time to bake, so Santa got fudge-covered oreos and the reindeer got their traditional carrots. Only twist this year was Ellie wanted to leave Santa a juice box instead of milk and she poured up a bowl of water for the reindeer. :) She was so excited Christmas morning that she didn't even see what Santa brought her, all she could see was a big Elmo gift bag in front of the tree - not the tricycle and other presents on the fireplace...but she did eventually find them :)...

Then we packed up and went to Miles for a few days to spend more time with family. Ellie was dancing in front of the Christmas tree and playing her cool new pink guitar...

Every year we look forward to Uncle Matt's incredible light displays. The past few years have been a tractor-drawn sleigh with Santa in the driver's seat. :) While we were there, it snowed for a little bit so we ran outside to try and catch a few snowflakes...

Happy 2010!!

  1. Great pics! I'm glad y'all had a wonderful Christmas. Ellie reminds me of Jade the Christmas she was three!
